1858 – 1927Kang Youwei (1858-1927)Died 31 March 1927, aged 69Kang Youwei was a Chinese scholar and reformer who led the Hundred Days' Reform of 1898 under the Guangxu Emperor. When the reforms were crushed he fled abroad, and he remained a constitutional monarchist for the rest of his life.
