His work was condemned as degenerate art by the Nazi regime and he was banned from painting. He died in Seebull, Germany.
1877 – 1956Alben Barkley (1877-1956)Died 30 April 1956, aged 78American politician who served as Vice President under Harry Truman from 1949 to 1953, after a long career as a US Senator from Kentucky. He collapsed and died of a heart attack while giving a speech at Washington and Lee University. He remained active in politics up to the moment of his death.
