1986Mike Tyson becomes youngest heavyweight champion20-year-old defeats Trevor Berbick for the WBC titleMike Tyson knocked out Trevor Berbick in the second round in Las Vegas to become the youngest world heavyweight boxing champion in history at age 20. The victory launched Tyson to global fame. He went on to unify the heavyweight titles the following year.
