2000Tiger Woods wins the US Open by fifteen strokesA record-breaking victory at Pebble BeachAt Pebble Beach in June 2000 Tiger Woods won the US Open by fifteen shots, the largest margin of victory in any golf major. He went on to take the Open Championship and the US PGA that year, and by holding all four major titles at once in 2001 completed the "Tiger Slam". The 2000 season is often called the finest in the sport's history.
