2026David Clayton-Thomas dies in Toronto — aged 84David Clayton-Thomas dies peacefully on 25 June 2026 at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, aged 84. No cause of death is announced. He is survived by his daughters Ashleigh Clayton-Thomas and Christine Graham. A memorial concert is announced for a later date. Tributes pour in from musicians and fans worldwide. He leaves behind a voice — raw, soulful, technically gifted and unmistakably his own — that shaped brass-rock music at its commercial and artistic peak, and three songs that will be played for as long as people listen to the music of the late 1960s.
