1927Trade Disputes and Trade Unions ActBritain restricts strikes after the General StrikeAfter the 1926 General Strike, the Conservative government passed an act that banned sympathetic strikes and general strikes. It also required union members to opt in to paying the political levy to the Labour Party. The act was repealed in 1946.
